Player Crafting in Lazy Football: My Results After 4 Crafts

In Lazy Football, you can spend Scout Insights to craft a brand new player. There are six tiers — Tier 1 is the most expensive at 2,500 SI and produces the strongest players, while Tier 6 costs just 50 SI. Position and age are random — you cannot choose what you get.
Scout Insights come from season reward packs, purchasable packs, free packs, and starter quests. They accumulate slowly over multiple seasons, so every craft is a meaningful decision.
My Four Crafts
Stevie Peavler (RM, Tier 4, 250 SI, July 2025) — my first experiment with crafting. Tier 4 is cheap, and the player matched that — nothing spectacular. I later sold him on the market for 192,000 coins and 3 gems. Not bad for a 250 SI investment.
Cedrick Roperto (CF, Tier 1, 2,500 SI, March 2026) — centre forward, age 23, power 1,119. Great position, great age — plenty of training ahead. The power came in near the bottom of the Tier 1 range, but he went straight into the starting eleven.
Max Caddick (AM, Tier 1, 2,500 SI, March 2026) — attacking midfielder, age 24, power 1,294. Near the top of the range for a 24-year-old. The best result out of all four crafts — immediately one of the strongest players on the team and a guaranteed starter.
Darrell Sulloway (GK, Tier 2, 1,000 SI, March 2026) — goalkeeper, age 24, power 833. Not the result I was hoping for. The power is towards the lower end, and more importantly — it is a goalkeeper. I already have Ward Winrow (26, 1,019) and Mohammad Kunkler (25, 709) in that spot. A third keeper is not useful, so one of them will need to be sold.
The Impact
Roperto and Caddick both went straight into the starting lineup. Together they pushed the team P11 from roughly 11,800 to 12,381 — a jump of about 580 points. That matters heading into a competitive season in Northern Windsland D1, especially with a Champions League qualifier against Jet634 (P11: 12,693) coming up on April 2.
Sulloway did not strengthen the squad, but he is still a sellable asset. That is the nature of crafting — position and age are random, and sometimes you get something you already have covered.
Was It Worth It?
Four crafts, 6,250 Scout Insights spent over several seasons. Two players went into the starting lineup and made a real difference. One was sold at a profit. One missed the mark on position. Seventeen Scout Insights left in the bank.
Crafting is a gamble — you cannot control what position or age you get, and the power range within each tier is wide. But when it hits, you get a player that would cost hundreds of thousands of coins on the transfer market. For a Division 1 team pushing for the Champions League, that kind of squad depth is hard to find any other way.
