Football Manager Goal Machine: 60 Goals in 13 Games and Still Third

Sixty goals in thirteen games. That's the kind of number you'd expect from a team running away with the title in any football manager game. In Lazy Football, it means you're third in the table.

Welcome to Northern Windsland D1, Season 11. The division where scoring four or five goals a match still isn't enough to lead the pack.

Today's Match: Chain Rovers 5-0 Pinkman

Game Day 13 brought Pinkman to our stadium. They're sixth in the table with 24 points — not a weak team. Seven wins this season. A solid squad with a P11 over 7,800. On paper, this was supposed to be competitive.

It wasn't. Five goals, zero conceded. Pinkman never looked dangerous. Our midfield controlled the tempo from the first whistle and the forwards did the rest. Another clean sheet, another big scoreline. Business as usual in this football management game where the margins at the top are razor-thin.

But here's what matters: we won 5-0 and we're still two points off the top. That tells you everything about this division.

The Numbers That Don't Make Sense

Let me show you the goal-scoring stats for the top four teams in Northern Windsland D1 after thirteen game days.

Arbitrageus: 88 goals scored. That's 6.8 per game. Nearly seven goals every time they play. And they're fourth.

Read that again. A team averaging almost seven goals a match is sitting in fourth place with 31 points. Two losses cost them six points and any hope of leading this division. In most divisions we've covered this season, 88 goals would mean a runaway title. Here it means you're chasing.

chibas has 75 goals and 35 points. Chain Rovers has 60 goals and 35 points. MAIN OFFICE has 62 goals and 37 points. Three teams haven't lost a single league match all season. The fourth team scores more than all of them and still can't keep up because of two bad days.

This is what top-level competition looks like in this online football manager. Raw attacking power isn't enough. You need consistency.

MAIN OFFICE and the Perfect Defense

Now look at the other side of the stats. MAIN OFFICE has played thirteen games. They've conceded zero goals. Not one. Not a single ball past their goalkeeper in over twelve hours of match time.

Twelve wins and one draw. 62 scored, 0 conceded. That's a goal difference of +62 with a clean sheet in every single game. We wrote about our own defensive record earlier this season — two goals conceded felt impressive. MAIN OFFICE makes it look ordinary.

Their one draw came against Arbitrageus on Game Day 1 — a 0-0. Since then, twelve straight wins. They haven't even come close to dropping points.

For everyone else in the title race, this creates a simple problem. You can't afford to draw. You can't afford a single bad match. Because the team at the top doesn't have bad matches.

Where Chain Rovers Stand in This Football Manager Title Race

Our record reads: eleven wins, two draws, zero losses. 60 goals scored, 2 conceded. On any normal day in any normal division, that's a championship-winning run. The 5-0 against Pinkman today was our sixth consecutive league win. We've scored 37 goals in those six games and conceded none.

Those two early draws — 0-0 against Arbitrageus on Game Day 1 and 1-1 against chibas on Game Day 4 — are the reason we're third instead of first. Four dropped points from two matches in the opening weeks. That's it. That's the difference between being champions and being chasers.

The 1-1 draw with chibas stings more now than it did then. We played them at home. They're the strongest team in the division by P11 rating. A draw felt acceptable at the time. Now, with both of us on 35 points and MAIN OFFICE two clear, every point we didn't take feels like a missed chance.

But there's a flip side. Eleven wins from thirteen with no losses means the machine is working. Since Game Day 5, we've won nine straight in the championship. The scoring has been consistent — 7-0, 7-0, 5-0, 4-0, 7-0, 4-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0. That's a squad in form.

The Division Split: Football Manager Haves and Have-Nots

Northern Windsland D1 is really two divisions pretending to be one. The top five teams have 162 points combined. The bottom eleven have 106. Three teams — Goddess, OrbMakers, and KitsuneMoon — have a combined 12 points from 39 games.

OrbMakers sits at the bottom with 1 point from 13 matches. One draw, twelve losses. 3 goals scored, 56 conceded. They've been outscored roughly 19-to-1 across the season. That's brutal. That's what happens when you're promoted into a division where the top teams have three or four times your squad power.

Goddess has 3 points. No wins in thirteen attempts. KitsuneMoon has 8 points — one win, five draws, seven losses. For these clubs, the season is about survival and growth, not competing for the title. They're building for future seasons in this free football manager game online, collecting experience against stronger opponents.

This split matters for the title race too. The top three teams are farming points against the bottom half. MAIN OFFICE's perfect run includes games against OrbMakers, Goddess, KitsuneMoon, and PatchX. Same for us. Same for chibas. The real title race happens in the direct matches between the top four or five — and there aren't many of those left.

Champions League Running Alongside

This championship battle is happening while all three top teams are also competing in the Champions League. That adds pressure. Squad management becomes critical when you're playing every single day — one match in the championship, one in the CL, back and forth.

Our CL record is mixed. Three losses, one draw, two wins. The early rounds were rough — a 0-7 against chibas on Game Day 2 was a wake-up call. A 0-1 loss to MAIN OFFICE showed the gap at the very top. But the last two CL matches were different. We beat Crypto Sloths 4-0 away and LiverpoolFC 3-0 at home. That's seven goals and two clean sheets to close out the league phase.

Playing two competitions at once tests your squad depth. The teams that manage it well gain a mental edge. You learn to handle pressure. You learn to rotate. And the prize money from CL helps fund long-term growth in this football management game.

What Comes Next

Seventeen game days remain in the championship. Chain Rovers needs MAIN OFFICE to drop points somewhere — or we need to beat them directly when we face them. Two points is nothing in a 30-game season. One draw from them, one extra win from us, and it's level.

The consistency has been there since Game Day 5. Nine straight wins. 37 goals scored, 0 conceded in that run. The squad is young — Pesin is 23, Roperto is 23, Caddick is 24, Ellcessor is 22. These players are still growing. Every match adds training. Every season adds power.

The 5-0 today wasn't remarkable by itself. It was remarkable because it was ordinary. Winning big has become the standard. The question isn't whether Chain Rovers can keep scoring. It's whether MAIN OFFICE can keep their perfect record over seventeen more matches.

Because sixty goals in thirteen games should be enough to lead any division. In Northern Windsland D1, it's enough to keep dreaming.
